16th Covid-19 casualty was a retired army officer, says Defence Minister

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob announced the death of an armed forces veteran from Covid-19 on Tuesday (March 24).

Ismail Sabri said a one-off bereavement payment worth RM3,000 will be given to the deceased’s wife on Wednesday and a monthly pension worth RM2,856.82 each month which will be processed immediately.
