186 illegal immigrants detained in Pudu raid

A total of 186 illegal immigrants were detained during Ops Kutip, an operation conducted by the Immigration Department at a premises in the Pudu area early on Saturday (Jun 20) morning.

Several of those present attempted to evade arrest by climbing onto rooftops, hiding in darkened rooms and pretending to be asleep, but their attempts failed after the premises were surrounded by enforcement personnel ahead of a thorough inspection.
