32 Bailey bridges being readied for deployment to flood-hit areas, says Zahid

32 Bailey bridges are being readied for deployment nationwide where bridges or roads have collapsed and become impassable, says Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

Speaking to reporters after the Rural Road (JLB) project handover ceremony on Sunday (Dec 8), Ahmad Zahid, who also chairs the National Disaster Management Committee (Nadma), said the Public Works Department (JKR), in collaboration with the Army Corps of Engineers, was carrying out engineering and soil testing processes at seven locations.
