51 luxury vehicles with total unpaid road tax of RM175,000 seized in Penang this year

The Penang Road Transport Department (JPJ) has seized 51 luxury vehicles worth about RM14mil this year for failing to renew their road tax.
State Road Transport Department (JPJ) director Zulkifly Ismail said the operations, conducted under Ops Luxury, uncovered unpaid road tax amounting to about RM175,000, with some vehicles not renewed since 2020.
JPJ said many of the vehicles are believed to belong to VIPs and businessmen, stressing that all vehicles on the road must have valid road tax.
