A day of gratitude to mums and prayers of peace

With clasped hands and chanting reverentially together, some 2,600 devotees in George Town, Penang, stood patiently in line waiting for their turn to bow and dip their fingers in fragrant water to symbolise touching the feet of Buddha.
Organised by the Buddhist Tzu Chi Merits Society Malaysia, the event also marked the society’s 57th anniversary.
