Aaron-Wooi Yik reach Malaysia Open final after thrilling semi-final win

World No. 2 men’s doubles pair Aaron Chia-Soh Wooi Yik secured a hard-fought spot in the Malaysia Open final after defeating Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian-Shohibul Fikri in Saturday’s (Jan 10) semi-final.

The atmosphere at Axiata Arena was electric, with nearly 10,000 home fans roaring the duo on as they battled to keep Malaysia’s hopes alive.

It was no easy ride for Aaron-Wooi Yik, who were pushed to a full 50 minutes before emerging victorious 23-21, 21-18.
