AG-PP power separation Bill to be referred to special select committee, says Azalina

The proposed constitutional amendment that seeks to separate the roles of the Attorney General and the Public Prosecutor will be referred to a special select committee, says Datuk Seri Azalina Othman Said.

The Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Law and Institutional Reform) said the Special Select Committee would examine the Bill, including the accountability mechanism for the Public Prosecutor, and propose any necessary amendments in relation to the matter.
