AGC 'no' to bid for withdrawal of assault charge by woman who tried to hug Perak Ruler

The prosecution has rejected a representation filed by a woman accused of assaulting the Sultan of Perak during the state-level National Day celebrations last year.

Deputy public prosecutor Nasrul Hadi Abdul Ghani told the Magistrate's Court on Wednesday (July 1) that the prosecution was not accepting the representation seeking to have the charge withdrawn.
