The Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency (AKPS) has detained two enforcement officers at the Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine (CIQ) Complex at the Sultan Iskandar Building (BSI) for suspected involvement in the notorious "Flying Passport" scheme.
At a press conference held at the BSI CIQ Complex on Saturday (July 26), the agency’s commander, Roszita Dim, said the male suspects, aged 31 and 49, were detained on Friday following a covert surveillance operation launched by the AKPS compliance unit at 3pm.
She added that around 9pm the same day, another suspicious passport clearance involving a problematic visitor was detected—this time using a supervisor’s user ID in the motorcycle lane zone.
