Albert Tei says he had good sleep at night, graft case transferred to KL court

Embattled businessman Albert Tei joked that he had a good sleep in his own bed at night until he had problems waking up on Friday (Dec 5) morning to attend his graft case.

Tei, who was also charged on Thursday in Kuala Lumpur with similar charges, pleaded not guilty at the Shah Alam Sessions Court on Friday to a charge of giving a bribe of RM64,924 to former senior political secretary to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Shamsul Iskandar Mohd Akin at a bank on Nov 28, 2023 and Sept 23 last year.

The court allowed the adoption of the KL court's bail terms and conditions, and ordered that the case be transferred to that court to be tried jointly.
