Those returning from Sabah must undergo the full 14-day home quarantine even if they test negative for Covid-19, says Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
The Health director-general said that on Tuesday, adding that this was because the number of cases involving Sabah returnees continued to rise despite the Health Ministry’s plea for self-isolation.
Dr Noor Hisham said up to Monday (Oct 12), 394 Covid-19 cases in the country are attributed to individuals with recent travel history to Sabah since Sept 22.
The Health DG also said up till Tuesday (Oct 13), 23 of the Covid-19 clusters in the country originate from index cases who had travelled to Sabah recently.
