Anti-party hopping Bill passed in Dewan Rakyat with two-thirds majority

The Dewan Rakyat has passed constitutional amendments to put in place anti-party hopping laws before the next general election is called.

A total of 209 Members of Parliament voted in favour of the anti-party hopping Bill on Thursday (July 28), while a total of 11 MPs were absent.
