Anwar: New Fama corporate office will not solve current issues faced by farmers, smallholders

Port Dickson MP Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said the RM220mil allocated for the construction of the new Federal Agricultural Marketing Authority (Fama) corporate office in Kelana Jaya will not solve current issues faced by farmers and smallholders.
During his debate speech on Budget 2021 at the committee stage in Parliament on Wednesday (Dec 2), Anwar said the Ministry must relook into Fama’s role, as many poor farmers in Sabah were affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.
