Art Harun: Proposal was for two MPs per party to attend Budget tabling, I fought for more

Dewan Rakyat Speaker Datuk Azhar Azizan Harun dismissed criticism directed to him over the decision to only allow 80 MPs to attend the Budget 2021 sitting on Friday, saying that it was a consensus decision of all party whips who attended the meeting on Nov 4.
He added that he had fought to allow 100 MPs and not the others (who attended the meeting).
Azhar, also know as Art Harun, said this after Jelutong MP, RSN Rayer, asked why the 80 MPs allowed during debates comprised 41 government MPs and 39 Opposition MPs, and not an equal number of lawmakers from both sides.
