The nation’s arts fraternity is mourning the loss of traditional orchestra conductor Mohd Yazid Zakaria, who led the performance during the recent Asean gala dinner, following his passing on Wednesday (Oct 29), says Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
The Prime Minister expressed his sadness in a Facebook post Wednesday, saying it was a major loss to Malaysia’s traditional music scene, as the late Mohd Yazid was celebrated not only for his musical talent but for his lifelong dedication to using music as a medium to unite and uplift the nation’s spirit.
