Asean's free, peaceful and exclusive zone to be preserved, says Mohamad

As Asean chairman in 2025, Malaysia will ensure that the regional bloc, founded in 1967 on principles of a free, peaceful, and neutral zone, remains intact, said Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan.

Speaking to reporters after unveiling the Asean-Malaysia Chairmanship 2025 logo and theme on Tuesday (Oct 22), he emphasised Malaysia’s commitment to Asean's sustainability through the launch of the Asean Community Vision 2025-2045.
