At least 10 dead after truck crashes into New Orleans crowd

At least 10 people were killed, and over 30 others injured when a truck plowed into a large crowd at high speed on Canal and Bourbon Street in New Orleans' French Quarter in the United States early Wednesday (Jan 1), city officials reported.
Speaking at a televised news conference, Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick confirmed that the driver deliberately drove into the crowd at approximately 3:15 a.m.
