Australia, Japan and others criticise China's missile test that alarms regional neighbours

Australia and the Solomon Islands on Tuesday (July 7) criticised China's test of an intercontinental ballistic missile in the Pacific.

China tested the missile on July 6, its first since 2024, from a nuclear-powered submarine into the Pacific, drawing concerns from the United States, Australia, Japan, New Zealand and Taiwan.
