Award-winning Sarawak-born contemporary sape player Saufi Aiman Yahya, 31, who was known for broadening the scope of the traditional (lute) instrument and building community through music, was found dead in his studio office in Kuching Thursday night.
Saufi’s long time friend and performing partner, Anderson Kalang, shed more light on Saufi’s death as well as his reaction to news of his friend’s passing with The Star on Friday.
