The Pahang Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Corporation (SWCorp) has closed the Bandar Muadzam Shah landfill in Rompin, Pahang to the public with immediate effect.
This follows a media report on the Orang Asli villagers who seek additional income by looking for recyclables at the landfill.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department P. Waytha Moorthy, who held a dialogue with the villagers on Tuesday, proposed for arrangements to be made for them to be absorbed as workers at the landfill.
