Be cautious of scams amidst new stimulus package, warns Ismail Sabri

Defence minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob urged the public to be cautious against falling for scams, following the new economic stimulus package announced by the Prime Minister.
Ismail Sabri cited an example where victims were told by scammers to provide MyKad and bank account numbers to withdraw funds from their Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) accounts.
The Senior Minister said that so far, police have opened 393 investigation papers on scams involving RM3mil.
