Bhutan royals pay their respects to King Bhumibol

The Bhutan royals paid a brief visit to Thailand to mourn King Bhumibol Adulyadej who passed away on Oct 13.
King Jigme Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema travelled to Thailand with their eight-month-old son Prince Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck on the evening of Oct 15.
They headed directly to the Grand Palace where the late monarch’s funeral was held.
The flew out the next day after laying wreaths and writing their farewell messages during the funeral at the palace.
King Jigme Wangchuck had a close relationship with the late Thai king, especially after his visit to Thailand in 2006 to take part in the celebration of the Thai king’s 60th anniversary on his throne.
