Billions in profits, but workers still earning low wages, says PM

The widening gap between corporate profits and workers’ wages will be among the issues addressed in the upcoming Budget 2027, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Speaking at a UiTM alumni gathering in Shah Alam on Saturday (Sept 26), Anwar said Malaysia must ensure rising productivity and corporate earnings translate into better pay and opportunities for workers, while also addressing disparities in executive and worker bonuses.
