BNM: M'sian economy grew at the strongest rate in 5 quarters for 2Q19

Despite several key economies in Southeast Asia reporting multi-year low growth, the Malaysian economy grew at the strongest rate in five quarters for the April to June 2019 period. Bank Negara governor Datuk Nor Shamsiah Mohd Yunus says the Malaysian economy grew 4.9% in the second quarter of 2019, which has marked the third consecutive quarter for the country's economic performance to surpass market prediction.
