Two provinces in Thailand were ordered to enforce stricter immigration regulations on Cambodian workers following claims of lackadaisical enforcement due to bribes offered to Thai officials.
The bribery allegations were made by contractors who made foreign worker employment agreements in two provinces, Sa Kaew and Chanthaburi, with the Thai authorities.
This comes after a higher number of Cambodians entered Thailand during the sugarcane harvest.
