Following the end of the Thai New Year festival, the main Buddha statue at a temple in Nong Khai, Thailand was ushered from an event venue back to the main chapel where it belongs.
The statue was moved in a circumambulatory path around the temple on two long wooden beams carried by hundreds of participants.
Those who observed the event poured water on the statue as a gesture of respect, and also on those who carried the beams.
For years, this statue along with others from the temple were carried around the district during the Songkran festival from April 13 to 18 for residents to pour water on them.
