Budget 2021: Training programmes set up for 8,000 aviation staff

In tabling Budget 2021 on Friday (Nov 6), Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz told the Dewan Rakyat that the government has set aside RM50 million for retraining programmes for 8,000 aviation staff.
He also said there will be 500 job opportunities for Orang Asli and local communities to become tour guides at national parks, RM35 million for the Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council, a special RM1,000 grant for traders, taxi drivers, e-hailing drivers and tour guides in Sabah, as well as Human Resource Development Fund levy exemption for tourism companies affected by the Covid-19 pandemic starting from Jan 1, 2021.
