Budget 2022: Minimum EPF contribution of 9% to remain till June 2022

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz said under Budget 2022, the statutory contribution rate for employees to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF), which was reduced to 9% since last year, will remain until June 2022.
He said this will involve an allocation of RM2bil. The minimum contribution rate was first reduced to 9% last year in Budget 2021.
