Budget 2027 reflects good financial management, savings returned to people, says Anwar

Budget 2027 is the result of good national financial management, with the savings achieved now being returned to the people rather than enjoyed only by certain groups, says Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Anwar, who is also Finance Minister, said in the Madani Budget 2027 Special Interview on Saturday (Oct 10) that the government had prioritised debt management and urgent needs, including school facilities and housing for military and police personnel, before expanding assistance as its financial capacity improved.

However, he stressed that continued financial discipline was needed to prevent leakages from recurring.
