Budi Madani system built 'inhouse' by civil servants, Dewan Rakyat told

The Budi Madani diesel subsidy system was developed by civil servants without incurring additional costs, according to Lim Hui Ying.
Responding to Datuk Suhaimi Nasir (BN-Libaran), who inquired about the cost of developing the Budi Madani system, its procurement methods, and whether it was done through an open tender or otherwise at the Dewan Rakyat on Monday (July 15), the Deputy Finance Minister explained that no external consultants were engaged in the development of the Budi Madani system, thus rendering the question of an open tender process irrelevant.
To Suhaimi's supplementary question if the RM200 monthly Budi Madani assistance was enough, Lim said the amount was determined after a thorough study to be sufficient for most households in Malaysia.
