Buffet meal food must be handled by servers, says Ismail Sabri

Restaurants offering buffet meals are reminded to have servers scoop the food onto customers’ plates instead of allowing them to handle the food themselves.
Senior Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said this on Thursday and warned that failure to observe this could land operators in trouble under Act 342 or the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act.
Alternatively, said Ismail Sabri, disposable plastic gloves can be provided for guests to use when they go to the buffet counter.
