Over 40 farmers are growing yanagi mushrooms in Buriram, Thailand which will be exported to countries within the Asean region.
These are sold either canned or fresh.
Farmers earn between Bt400,000 and Bt500,000 (US$11,406 and US$14,257) per year from selling their goods to vendors.
A factory was also recently built in the province to manufacture canned yanagi mushrooms in three flavours: sweet, sour and salty.
