Thailand's No. 4 women's singles shuttler Busanan Ongbamrungphan lost to PV Sindhu of India for the 18th time in their 19 meetings.
But this time in the Malaysia Masters semi-final, it got closer when Busanan went down fighting 21-13, 16-21, 12-21 in 88 minutes, which was the longest duel between the two.
