Cabinet to decide Tuesday on Sabah’s 40% revenue appeal, says Anwar

The Federal Government will decide at a special Cabinet meeting on Tuesday (Nov 11) whether to appeal the High Court’s ruling granting Sabah 40% of federal revenue collected in the state, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Speaking at the Malaysia Digital roadshow in Tawau on Monday, Anwar — who also serves as Finance Minister — said the decision would be made after consulting the Attorney-General’s advice.
He acknowledged there were shortcomings and constraints in the matter but urged all parties to remain understanding as the government works toward a fair resolution.
