Call 997 if you've been scammed, says Fahmi

Scam victims should immediately dial the National Scam Response Centre (NSRC) hotline at 997 without needing to lodge a separate police report, says Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil.

The government spokesman said on Wednesday (March 4) that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim raised the issue during the Cabinet meeting on March 4 after visiting the centre, emphasising efforts to increase public awareness and ensure swift recovery of victims’ money.
