Car driver in SPE hit-and-run to be remanded

The driver of a car, seen in a viral video engulfed in flames near the Wangsa Maju Toll Plaza on the Setiawangsa-Pantai Expressway (SPE) on Sunday (Dec 15), has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run with a motorcyclist.

Kuala Lumpur Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT) head ACP Mohd Zamzuri Mohd Isa said an application for the suspect's remand will be made on Monday (Dec 16) to facilitate investigations under Section 42(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for reckless driving.
