Casket leaves Sarawak Legislative Assembly building

The casket containing the remains of the late former Sarawak governor Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud was carried out from the Sarawak Legislative Assembly building at 11.30am on Thursday (Feb 22) to Masjid Demak for prayers.
Twelve cannons from the 8th Royal Artillery Regiment
lined the route to the mosque, setting off 87 rounds in salute to Taib.
After prayers, Taib will be laid to rest at the family cemetery
at his private residence in Demak Jaya.
