Chegubard jailed four months for defaming King

Former Port Dickson Bersatu chief Badrul Hisham Shaharin, known as Chegubard, has been sentenced to four months’ jail by the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court for making a defamatory statement that could harm the reputation of His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia.

The sentence was stayed pending an appeal to the High Court, and bail was increased to RM15,000.
