China medical professionals not here to treat Covid-19 patients, says Health DG

Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the team of medical professionals from China will not be treating Covid-19 patients in Malaysia.
Instead, they would be sharing their experiences of Covid-19 treatment and research.
Dr Noor Hisham was responding to a question on the credibility of Chinese medical professionals, as China has been accused of not reporting the true situation in its handling of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On April 17, China raised its estimates of the death toll in Wuhan, the epicentre of the virus, by 50%. It has denied covering up the extent of the Covid-19 outbreak.
