China's Foreign Ministry on Friday (March 24) said the country had never asked nor would ever ask any company to provide data or intelligence located abroad, amid growing security concerns about Chinese-owned video app TikTok.
The ministry’s response comes after TikTok’s CEO Chew Shou Zi faced questions from US lawmakers at a congressional hearing on Thursday.
