CID achieved 95% arrest rate in 2023, says IGP

The police's Criminal Investigation Department (CID) achieved nearly a 95% arrest rate last year.

In his Police Day speech on Monday (March 25), Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain also said in drug eradication efforts, the Narcotics Crime Investigation Department (NCID) busted 273 syndicates and arrested 908 individuals nationwide while also making seizures worth RM482.95mil throughout 2023.

Razarudin added that a total of 18,221 operations were conducted by the Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) which led to the arrest of 22,911 individuals for various commercial crime cases last year.
