Cikgu Azizan case: NUTP calls for code of ethics to better protect teachers

The National Union of the Teaching Profession (NUTP) is givng the Education Ministry one year to enforce a code of ethics on parent-teacher relations in schools nationwide to better protect teachers. The petition comes after teacher, Azizan Manap was hauled to court for allegedly slapping a pupil for being involved in glue-sniffing, bullying and playing truant.
