Communications Ministry pushes for timely completion of Jendela Phase 1, says Fahmi

The Communications Ministry aims to ensure that Phase 1 of the National Digital Network (Jendela) initiative operates according to its scheduled timeline.

Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil revealed on Tuesday (Nov 26), after the Tower Xchange Meetup Asia 2024 event in Kuala Lumpur, that while over 1,600 towers have been constructed, some remain inactive due to delays by the telecommunications companies involved.

Regarding Phase 2 of Jendela, he emphasised that the implementation process will be restructured, including a comprehensive review of network design plans.
