Cops bust over 40 syndicates, arrest 426 in 12-day nationwide operation

Bukit Aman has arrested 426 individuals, including 146 Malaysians, in a nationwide 12-day operation.

At a press conference on Tuesday (Dec 17), Bukit Aman Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Comm Datuk Seri Ramli Mohamed Yoosuf said the operation, codenamed Ops Khas 83/2024, was carried out from Nov 25 to Dec 6.

The crackdown targeted call centres across the country and led to the arrests of suspects linked to 40 syndicates.
