Corn may be answer to soaring poultry feed and egg prices

Deputy Agriculture and Agro-Based Industry Minister Sim Tze Tzin said corn may be the new cash crop for Malaysia and the answer to soaring poultry feed prices that have caused egg prices to spike. He said corn farmers had been producing eight to nine tonnes per hectare of corn and this had made it viable to produce corn as livestock feed.
