Covid-19: 1,348 more cases as Malaysia nears 100k mark, death toll now at 444

Malaysia recorded 1,348 new infections on Wednesday (Dec 23), bringing the total number of infections to 98,737 .
In his daily brief, Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said while the country saw 710 recoveries, five people died due to the coronavirus, raising the death toll to 444.
He also said Selangor recorded the highest increase of the day for the eighth day running with 535 cases followed by Kuala Lumpur with 226 and Sabah with 189 cases.
