Covid-19: 8 new cases, one death, active cases dip below 1,000

Malaysia recorded eight new Covid-19 cases on Sunday (June 14), bringing the total number of infections to 8,453.
Health director-general Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that, adding that there was one more death from Covid-19 in the country, taking the death toll from the coronavirus to 121.
The Health DG also reported that another 35 Covid-19 patients have been discharged, making the number of discharged patients at 986, the first time active cases had gone under 1,000 since March 20.
