Those who visit shopping malls would only need to have their respective temperatures checked once, which will be done upon entrance at the shopping mall, said Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob
The Senior Minister (Security) said this on Monday, adding however that mall-goers are still required to provide their personal details (either manually or through the MySejahtera app), to each shop they entered in the shopping mall, in order to allow contact tracing in the event of a customer was found to be positive with Covid-19.
Ismail Sabri said the decision was made following complains it received from business operators, where they had to conduct temperature checks numerous times.
The same rule applies for hotels as well, said Ismail Sabri.
