Covid-19: Govt seeking out UNHCR cardholders for vaccination

The authorities will identify areas and settlements where United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) cardholders reside so that they will be included in the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme, says Datuk Seri Hamzah Zainudin.

The Home Minister said that on Saturday (June 12), adding that his ministry would work closely with the body in charge of the vaccination programme to ensure cardholders in the country – believed to number about 180, 000 – are also vaccinated.

Hamzah also said he hoped non-governmental organisations would aid the government by getting the list of cardholders from the UNHCR, added that they had yet to receive the list despite requesting for it.
