Kuala Langat district officer Mohd Jusni Hashim on Wednesday (June 3) said the two-week semi-enhanced movement control order (SEMCO) imposed on Taman Langat Murni and Taman Langat Utama in Bukit Changgang is the largest in the country, with a total area of 4,100 square meters requiring 4.1km of barbed wire fencing.
He said the cordoned area, with a population of 9,000 of which 70 % are locals, has been divided into three zones - A, B and C - for easy management.
The SEMCO was put in effect on June 2 after 20 foreign workers, who live in a hostel in the area, tested positive for Covid-19.
